![]() The Temple giving insane buffs to your hope and discontent while Field Kitchens give even more of the needed Heat The FAITH tree is absolutely overpowered on this game. I had the basic Steelworks for most of the scenario and didn't really miss steel that much except for a couple of occasions, which is when you'll build the steam ones, but for the most part, the scouts bring in enough to supply my endeavors.Ĭhild Labor (Safe Jobs) -> Emergency Shift -> Extended Shift -> House of Prayers -> Corpse Disposal -> Organ Transplants -> Radical Treatment -> Overcrowding -> Child Labor (All Jobs) -> Evening Prayers -> Shrines -> Temple -> Field Kitchen -> Fighting Arena -> Faith Keepers -> Public House -> MoonshineĪfter these it doesn't really matter, but then again, if you need or want to try something else, go for it. I went for chacoal on the end but you may want to take the Outpost Tech and send some folk to get coal outside the city. With both the Advanced Coal Mines you'll have enough to power most of the city, but you'll need to find another way to help a bit. Make annotations on the scout routes and what they offer for future playthroughs. Ehen you need a resource, check it they have some of it and ponder sending them back to the city. Send your scouts on big missions, get the 3 mission-related survivors and you should be good. ![]() ![]() Use your tents temperature status to measure the right time to increase or decrease your generator level, to save your coal.ĭo not underestimate the BEACON, it is a lifesaver. The GENERATOR should be upgraded at specific times, when the temperature is about to drop, to keep the heat at the very least on Chilly. They can also be used for specific hours to maximize it's efficiency instead of leaving it on for 24 hours. HUBS are more effective then heaters as they affect larger areas and multiple buildings for potentially less coal. When talking about HEAT you need to keep two things in mind: The range of your hubs and where to use heaters. ![]() TECH -wise, I had a weird assortment of technologies developed, as you probably won't take many throughout the whole thing (I had 4 workshops by the end).įaster Gathering -> Beacon -> Saw Mill -> Hunters' Gear -> Steam Hub -> Heaters -> Steel Work - > LEVEL1 (Drawing Boards) -> Coal Mining -> Sawmill Upgrade -> Wall Drill -> Generator Power Upgrade I -> LEVEL 2 (Drafting Machines) -> Hunting Tactics -> Coal Mining Optimisation -> Lighter Scout Sleds -> Steam Steelworks -> LEVEL 3 (Mechanical Calculators) -> Steam Coal Mining -> Improved Heaters -> Heater Efficiency Upgrade -> Steam Well Drill -> LEVEL 4 (Difference Engine) -> Generator Power Upgrade II -> LEVEL 5 (Automatic Prototyping) -> Advanced Coal Mines -> Coal Mining Rationalisation -> Generator Range Upgrade -> Generator Efficiency Upgrade -> Generator Efficiency Upgrade II. Since you can't take all the laws you'll need, you should skip the ones you'll change later on, like soup and suffer through the start while the stakes aren't so high. HUNTER HUTS You'll probably need something like 12-14 to keep the city fed with good meals, (which you should be doing) on the endgame. TENTS should be built as soon as possible for the oncoming tide of refugees since the last thing you need is people getting sick due to coldness, it also keeps discontent down, so yay. I guess 3 should do when you have enough people. The early sawmills should be placed along the edges of the biggest wood area. I managed to do the whole thing with just TENTS and the basic HUNTER HUTS WOOD is of utmost importance in this map. There are a few thinGS you may want look for in order to keep yourself afloat on the start. Faster Gathering and the beacon are the go-to's here. I reckon you may be able to do it without it, since later on you have more people then jobs, but you also need a strong economy (as feeble as the start may be) to kickstart your little ragtag town.īuild a HEALTH POST, and use GATHERING POSTS efficiently to get all the stuff that's laying around while trying to get some tech going. The start is pretty straight forward, you'll need a large workforce to get going, so CHILD JOBS is essential. I'll try to go through what I did for it, although mostly you'll want to go with what benefits you the most. I just managed to do it, and I wish it wasn't luck, but I think it mainly was.
